The National Citizen Party (NCP) is ready to participate in the elections, says its convener Nahid Islam.
“Our party has just been established, so we are focusing on strengthening our organisational capacity,” he told a press conference on Friday (March 7).
“At this moment, we are not thinking about forming alliances or fielding candidates,” Nahid said.
He also called for improvements in the law and order situation and issuance of the ‘July Declaration.’
“I strongly condemn recent incidents of violence against women, rape, and eve-teasing. I express my concerns to the interim government regarding these issues,” Nahid said.
He said that women are being targeted in the cyber world to prevent them from participating in politics and taking leadership roles in society.
