Jatiyo Party Leaders Meet the German Ambassador

Jatiyo Party Chairman and former Foreign Minister Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud paid a courtesy call to the German Ambassador to Dhaka, H.E. Mr. Rudiger Lotz, at the German Embassy on Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. He was accompanied by Jatiyo Party Secretary General A.B.M. Ruhul Amin Howlader, Executive Chairman Mujibul Haque Chunnu, and Presidium Member and Special Envoy for International Affairs Masroor Mawla.

The German Ambassador was accompanied by Deputy Head of Mission Ms .Anja Kirsten and political officer Ms. Sharnila Kabir. During their meeting, Jatiya Party leaders discussed the current situation in the country, focusing on the upcoming national elections. They emphasized the importance of ensuring that the next parliamentary elections are free, fair, impartial, and widely accepted.

In this regard, Masroor Mawla, Jatiyo Party Chairman’s Special Envoy for International Affairs, told the media, “We had a courtesy call with the German Ambassador today (Wednesday). Our party Chairman Anisul Islam Mahmud discussed the current political and economic situation in the country, the upcoming national elections, and trade development between Bangladesh and Germany.”

The discussion took place in a cordial atmosphere, during which Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud reminisced about his meeting with President Richard von Weimar in Germany in 1989, when he served as Foreign Minister. He also informed the German Ambassador of his efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Germany.
