Journalist Anis Alamgir was shown arrested in a case filed with the Uttara West Police Station. He will be produced before the court on Monday afternoon.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Deputy Commissioner (Media) Md Talebur Rahman confirmed the matter to the Daily Samakal.
Previously, Anis Alamgir was brought to the DMP Detective Branch (DB) office on Sunday morning for interrogation. He was detained after exiting a gym in Dhanmondi 2.
Meanwhile, a complaint has been filed against four people, including journalist Anis Alamgir, actress Meher Afroz Shaon, and two others under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
Arian Ahmed, a central organiser of the July Revolutionary Alliance, lodged the complaint with the Uttara West Police Station early on Monday.
