A fire broke out at the Payala restaurant on the ground floor of the ETV Bhaban (Jahangir Tower) in the capital’s Karwan Bazar.
The incident took place on the ground floor of the Jahangir Tower at 8:20 pm on Saturday, said Fire Service Headquarters Duty Officer Md. Shahjahan.
On information, two fire fighting units rushed to the spot at 8:26 pm and brought the flames under control by 8:50pm.
