The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has submitted its proposal to the Police Administration Reform Commission.

BNP Chairperson’s advisory council member SM Zahurul Islam presented the proposals, on behalf of the party, to police reform commission chairman Safar Raz Hossain at the International Mother Language Institute here, said BNP media cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan.

BNP standing committee member Hafiz Uddin Ahmed is the chief of the committee formed by BNP for police administration reform.

The police reform commission, formed by the interim government, is supposed to submit its reform report to Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus by December 31.

Earlier on November 26, BNP submitted its proposal to the constitution reform commission with a set of suggestions including the introduction of a bicameral parliament, revival of a caretaker government system, and recalibration of powers exercised by the president and prime minister.
